It installs a big bunch of files to your libs folder! It also gave me the childinstall problem and I had to do a full format again.

i did install it..seeing that there was no icon immediately removed it..Hope it doesn't damage or anything..

Guys if you uninstalled version 1 then installed version 3, nothing seems to be happening, no icons or anything. You need to install version 1, dont uninstall, then install version 3. There you can record videos with sounds after the installation.

ETI Camcorder will work with sound if you upgrade your 6600 firmware and do the trick.

I was running on Firmware version 3.42.1 and here's the results

Installed ETI Camcorder 1 first
Installed ETI Camcorder 3 without uninstalling version 1
(Realized that ETI Camcorder 3 was gonna install stuff into libs only!)

I can run the app alright (I couldnt before), I went to settings and changed the max MMS Size. Only problem is, when i press down the joystick to start recording ... an error message comes out. So I presume it doesn't work for 3.42.1

Someone with the firmware version 4 should do it, and enjoy it

Hi,

I've just installed ETI V3.00 to my V4.09.1 firmwared 6600 and to be honest I can't tell what it's done.

I had ETI V1.00 already installed, which worked as normal for me recording long clips etc. I then installed v3.00 which doesn't appear to have done anything.

All I can see in Tools - App Manager is another app detail named "For Nokia 6600" and this has installed to the MMC by default, I had no control as to where it went. But as I said I cannot see why it's needed.
Also in App Manager I cannot view the details now of ETI Camcorder.

Bottom line, ETI still works with the new firmware but so did just the standard v1.00 also.

thats the thing with makesis programs, people unmake the sis change a few bytes so its "Skyforce 2.9" and then repack it in a shoddy sis!

No wonder aivanet get them first they bloody make the fuckers!!!!!

To be honest I have not got a clue. I know now that v4.09.1 doesn't like the latest versions of some psiloc apps, the slightly older one's are ok, namely V1.71 instead of V1.72.
Maybe to new firmware has incorporated some more back-compatability maybe with applications written for Symbian OS 6.1?

As a test I just removed both apps and installed just the ETI V3.00 to see what would happen. Basically it is nothing :-?

It shows up in App Manager as "For Nokia 6600" but thats all.
Install ETI V1.00 and then you have the normal ETI and ETI Gallery.
But, without the V3.00 ETI being installed it still works so I'm stunned as to what this other app does.

Someone must know something, anyone know of an ETI web site?

I just unmakesis'd the two files, ETI V1.00 and ETI V3.00.

In V3.00 I got a weird list of files : Pic001

And a folder named 'Backup'

Do the same to the ETI V1.00 and it all looks like a proper .sis app.
Is there something sinister in this maybe?

Nah ... there were a shit load of files that were installing to the Libs folder. Which I presume the file is useless. No *.app files, so its pointless

Now we have the first unlimited video recording for nokia 6600! The problem is when we record,the sound and the video is separated store in the phone.
How r we going to combine the 2 file together and and convert by the eyecon converter to one avi file and view as one in the pc?

I just can't see why everyone is literally forcing people to upgrade 4.09.1 because ETI Camcorder 3 works on it. Psiloc, SymbianWare or something other programmer should make something for ALL Nokia 6600 users, not just the latest firmwares ...

I think I should write them an e-mail now ...
