Hi Guys, my first post here so i'm a newbie. I've ordered a N6600 and having been reading everything i can about it. Was quite impressed when i found out that some NGage games can run on it! :).
Anyway's my questions is this.... I was going to get a 128mb MMC, but i've seen that you can get 256mb ones, so does it work on the 6600?.
Cheers,

The 1GB MMC Card is made by Pretec only currently.
However, I warn you guys: Don't buy any Kingmax MMC Cards. Majority of people (including myself) have experienced corruptness and instability!
I'm using a no-brand MMC Card ... and it works better than Kingmax lol

I was thinking of purchasing a Kingmax MMC, that was until I read about people having issues with them, so I just bought a no-name 128.

I actually had to buy a Kingmax 256 before realizing it didn't work. Went through many stages of experiements which all failed
Then I bought a no-name 256mb mmc card

256MB Kingmax doesn't work! Kingmax is dodgy, but I hear that 128 Kingmax is alright. Just don't buy 256 Kingmax for your Nokia phone ...

Good stuff mate! I realized that a no-brand MMC Card may be even better than a well-known branded one!

See? I'm not the only one! lol  but I hear from someone that a Kingmax 128 works fine. Not sure though ... I recommend people not to go for the Kingmax at all for Nokia phones

Ergo: "No Name" brands work better than the more "well known" brands.

I wonder why only Kingmax 256 MMCs don't work? They make alright RAM for computers, and apparently 128 MMCs?

I see. Prior to reading peoples troubles with Kingmax, I thought that it was a rather reliable brand.

Wierd. Mine gave me shitloads of trouble. Took it out, sold it and bought a new one (cheaper, no-brand, works better)
It's all cool. Guess sometimes your lucky, but most of the time you aren't :-P

I use a PQI 128 in my ngage and 3650 and it works a treat.
Note: KingMAX don't make PC ram, that's KingSTON.
They're probably chosen a similar name to give you false sense of safety. Like when companies call them selves Microcard or whatever to make you think it's to do with Microsoft.

Kingmax DO make RAM for PCs.

They make a whole range of semi-conductors.

I don't trust Kingmax anymore, and nothing will change my mind - stupid Kingmax 256 forced me to format my phone three times with *#7370# and six times with three-key format.
Ruined my N-Gage twice with *#7370# and once with *#7780#
No-Brands all the way ... :D
