I have thought about this a number of times but, I felt the consiqences far out way the bennefits. This could open the door for alot of screwed up sis files on the net.

Making sis files is as easy as installing the symbian SDK.

Installing roms and stuff could be a lot easier though....just make sure you download from reliable sources so you dont get fucked ones.

uh, a little thing: i don't think you will be able to make sis files for n-gage roms, maybe for LARGE files the phone will have troubles installing them... only a suggestion, i will try this.

you are killing me... in my pc it works perfect.
i upload the source code in vb, so you can make it work. it is not commented, you must spend some time to understand functions...
please don't blame me. :sad:
i will write something on how to use "makesis.exe" that comes from nokia, the dos file that is in Bin folder. if anyone got that working, please tell all that is not fake.

i deleted the file containing since Salmoneus made it work, so now it's YOUR problem. try to check this: 1)try to make a sis of a path near c: and without spaces in it, with folder names no longer than 8 char.
for example, put the makesis folder in c:\makesis, and make a sis of that folder. it MUST work. another tip: if you use winxp, you may need to set compatibility to win98-anyway it is only a suggestion, since i run it on winxp.
today i will search on vb forums for a solution. see you.

Gip ho trovato come risolvere il problema.Bisogna avere TUTTO(programma,file da mettere nel sis)nella directory C:.Ora funziona TUTTO PERFETTAMENTE.
Ora dico agli altri:

If anyone see "working hard" and doesn't see the compiled .sis file just refresh or wait a minute and it's will appear.

i know now the problem why it wasn't working and maybe for the other peeps as well.
1. u NEED to install the "Series60.SDK.v1.0.for.SymbianOS6.1" (or maybe another version also do the job ??? i used this one) first.
2. u have to reboot and use the "MakeSIS.v0.9c" from gip ;)
3. if u do it exactly like it is described in the readme it will work !!!

IMPORTANT
if u choose a "destination folder" in MakeSIS it DOESN'T write your *.sis to the destination path. it will write it to your "project path" instead.
