hey guys...my 6600 is doing pretty well until i installed 3 apps, theft alert, neo voice and Total IR remote 1.42...when i restarted the phone using system tools..a notification of "app main closed" appeared...then when i accessed the messaging menu..and tried to access my inbox...it displayed "sDaemon closed"......so i uninstalled the 3 apps...and when i booted the phone again...the annoying notifications are still there..

Do i have to reformat my fone? does backing it up..reformating and restoring (all contacts, apps etc) will correct the problem? or by restoring it, the problem will remain...(whew..backing up & restoring a MMC with 70 MB does take a lot of time :-o )

My phone runs on firmware V 3.42.1 , does it have an effect on the apps i installed/uninstalled that may have caused the bugs?

well, the prob might b wif new voice.

and its too late backing up ur fone now, coz even if u back it up, the back up will include the errors.

so i recommend u format ur mmc, and fone mem, den start again.

u can send ur contacts to ur sim.

For every contact, I have many details like e-mail, phone number, home number all in one contact name. However, when you transfer it over ... it takes up two spaces of the SIM Card which is annoying (SIM can't store e-mails)

So I just back up my phone via Bluetooth on PC Suite. Speaking of which, I should back up my phone now ...

The N-Gage can't do this can it?

Don't think so. When I had it, I had to send my contacts one by one via Bluetooth to another phone ...

guys...the sim card can only take so much space,,and as mentioned...they dont register the contact into one entry ( it is broken down into 2 or 3 entries eg. for mobile number, landline or email).

Backing it up in PC suite is an option..but can be very long (depending on the amount of data you are backing up). If you have a 128 or 256 MMC..better use a card reader...(expensive though)

So far Smart Vcard solves the problem...so does Agora Contacts manager :D
