Hmm, I don't need it as I have the Nokia 6600. Pity how I couldn't keep the N-Gage a little longer ...

Go to << Link Removed >> and register in the forums. Go to "Download Notifications"
And there you can get the username and password to download the BETA versions of Themerizer. Please note, that j2k has warned: Backup your data before installing any BETA version on your phone!
Peace out!

it lets you change the theme of your phone. i.e, change the colour of the menu's, background images, the way the icons look etc like on the 6600

Looks like the Nokia 6600 themes
Ok. How it works. When I downloaded the BETA version (I couldnt test it, i only had the 6600 in my hands) there was only a *.exe file. I presume you get a *.sis file of a 6600 theme and you convert it into a format that j2k's made.
I'm not sure. I'm just guessing
But btw, for those who want the Themerizer ... it costs money. That's for sure.

Themerizer has a forseeable price tag of $9.99 so theres not really going to be much of a point of cracking it. Sure, i understand about the N-Gage games with their price of 35 quid, but $9.99 is small anough to not even need to think about paying.
Program has two sides to it. A PC side application which lets you create your own themes and also lets you import a 6600 theme then export it for N-Gage/3650/7650 use. Then theres the Symbian side which is the one that actually goes on your phone to let you use the themes.
The BETA app is the PC side and has many functions disabled just now because of a major bug found in the previous version. J2k kindly disabled them so that no damage would come to your computer.
No symbian BETA's will be released for a while yet and until then using a theme is out of the question.
EDIT: Post has been edited because i now know it may have been a little harsh. I am getting some bad reputation and i dont want that, so im sorry if i missunderstood you. Though, it looked to me like it really only had one meaning. Again, sorry. Your a valuable member here nk_au so im sorry if i caused any miscomfort.
Appology accepted?

I apologize to both Wouwz and j2k. However, next time ... please correct my English. It isn't 100% right everyday seeing that Asian blood runs through my veins. Because sometimes it doesn't come out the way I want it to ... and people like Wouwz in this instance misunderstood me

Hi,
Can you not use the Theme Studio for that? If not I might have to consider resurrecting the Icon Changer project.

well im not 100% sure but as far as i know u can only edit the icons that are in the theme, and not icons of programs and apps that u download. would be great to change it coz lots of em look really bad and i could make them match the theme better

What about using the program called "Theme Editor for 6600"
Iceman5
15-04-2004, 01:12 PM
same goes for that. it can only edit the defult icons, contacts, calendar etc. etc. it cant edit apps and games
Thanks for that. I was unaware of this -- so I can now officially reinstate the Icon Changer project, which will work on the Nokia 7650, 36x0, N-Gage (though these would really benefit more with Themerizer), 6600, SX1 and Sendo X (the latter two subject to tweaking).
Cheers

Is "Icon Changer" going to be working alongside the Themerizer, changing icons? Or is it a kind of app that can create icons?
It was originally going to be only integrated into Themerizer but will be a standalone product too, now. It will let you change icons of preinstalled apps (e.g. Messaging) and also 3rd party ones (e.g. FExplorer).
Cheers
