View Full Version : Best MMC?
Im going to buy a new MMC to my 3650,
cause my old 32mb is much to small.
Im thinking of buying an 128mb, cause 256mb just cost to much.
Anyway, i search'd pricerunner.com, and found 4 128mb MMC's under 350kr (35$). Now i wonder what of the labels whos the best?
SanDisk Multimedia Card 128MB
Kingston MultiMediaCard 128MB
Miscellaneous/NoName MultiMediaCard 128MB
OEM Multimedia 128MB
Does anyone here witch of these card that is most relaible(the best)?
Thx

Most brands work other than Kingmax. Lots of No-Name brands work, my MMC is of a no-name brand.

Well, as long as your phone detects them, then they are all pretty much the same, just with a different sticker slapped on them.

i just thought that some mmc's were faster then others,

go for a brand "NCP", think it's the best (haven't tried TEC thou)
The 256M one does work on 3650 with the original firmware (2.50) without any prob.
I used to have "Ridata 256M" and it's suxx, now i'm so happy with NCP (better n cheaper as well)
btw, why don't you go for a 256? I'm sure it's a lot cheaper than getting two 128s
I cant afford it,
otherwise if i had a sillion-dollars, i would bought a 1gb :P
i got the sandisk 1, itz good and it works wid n-gage, etc

dont bother with a bluetooth dongle, just get a card reader, much better. especially if your gettin 256, im assuming your gonna be puttin music and films on your phone along with other stuff??? with a card reader it will transfer a hell of alot faster and will be easier to manage
plus card readers are cheaper than dongles :)

true, but u have to turn off phone off everytime ur gonna send stuff. thats annoying... if ur gonna test if an app works or a theme this takes much more time. and using bluetooth is much simpler too... just right click and send to bluetooth.
even if its an mp3 it will be faster than card reader coz ull have to boot up the phone again. and it will also drain the battery before u know it! well unless u got the charger plugged in... card reader is much better if ur gonna transfer lots of mp3s at once or movies tho. but remember that u can just start the bluetooth and do something else while it transfers.

And don't forget the apps that work with a bluetooth connection with your pc. Like Bluviewer and RemoteS60

well my friend, if they all cost the same, get Sandisk. well, they are the PIONEER in this SD and MMC thingy and they created them. they are the most reliable brand u can ever get for their storage media. in singapore, they have 5 years warranty compared to other brands, 1 year. and hey, dun underrestimated the power of warranty. i got this TEC brand MMC. work for almost 6 mths and i sell to a friend. then my friend jus told me it got corrupted! wtf, work properly until then.... luckily i have the warranty with me.
morale of the story - get a reliable brand. i learnt mine the hard way. though there is no such thing as a 100% error or corrupt free brand.
