how can i create polyphonic ringtones from mp3 files? or wav? I aint found anything good that does the job.

polyphonic ringtones are the same as midi files... if its a known band then it wouldnt be too hard finding a midi file of it on the net... if not ull need to convert the mp3 to midi.... there are apps that does this but the result will never be good. ull get the best results if u do it manualy

what do you need polyphonic ringtones for???? if u got a symbian fone then just use wav files.
ive got the pulp fiction as a ringtone :D

well, if u send a mp3 via bt to ur fone wif pc suite, it will convert to wav for u, place the wav in sounds/digital folder to use it as a ringtone.
or use nokia multimedia converter to convert the mp3.

Converting audio to midi? WTF? That shouldn't be possible...

well it is... a few progs is wav2mid, amazingmidi (havnt tried this one), instelliscore and mp3 to mid. thats my fav... i found it on aivanet actually....
then there is digital ear... and that gives AMAZING results... but it will only work on a single instrument/vocal playing... if there is more than one then it will screw up... but the midi file gets exactly as the instrument playing if its only one playing at once
