I can only connect with the dialup WAP, the GPRS WAP doesn't work. I wonder if I need to set it up somehow

I use Opera.
And about your connection problems, you have to have the Proxy Host and Proxy Number entered in

Personally I think Opera is better!

Opera looks nicer and more professional I reckon. NetFront screwed me up big time. Used Opera and had a friend to help me with that Proxy stuff.
Works fine now. Can even view HTML files, which i presume NetFront can too ...

haha, you poor guys, I've used both and Netfront 3.1 is far superior then the Opera browser. I mean Opera still f*ckes up my memory (of my 6600) Netfront is better in rendering my pages (the correct way with css style sheets enz) I'm only encountering some problems with certain javascript applets. But then again, Netfront is better in rendering these as well.
In the end I guess it's a personal thing.
I've also started a thread where I've explained how to abtain a Free register code from Netfront 3.1.

I have used both Opera and netfront on my 3650, but both have the same prob: They get out of memory after 2 pages or so even if i have just restarted the fone. Doris Browser is the only good browser, only prob with it is that most pics get the error msg "pic error" or sumthing...

yeah, and as for your gprs not working. go on the o2 website and go on the help bit and send the gprs settings to your phone. it sends it in a text message and you just save the settings when the message is opened

LOL just fot the heck of it I installed Opera 6.1 (again) on my phone.
I've copied my homepage to the mmc (only 8 MB, yeah I know I'm still a rookie when it comes to building a web-page) in order to save some gprs costs (and the page loads really fast, I just love it that both browser support local file browsing or offline browsing if you will). On my page I've got some javascripts. At first Neftont was able to render it well but I couldn't use the links that were in the Javascript table. Then I used Opera to to try to browse the page and everyting goes okay (well ok, not quite but I'll get to that a bit later)....until I reach the page with the Javascript....guess what.....indeed......Opera quits on me, it just closes the app. I've disabled the Javascript option and it still quits the app.
Ok problem 2: Opera should be able to render the css scripts, but it doesn't. I've given the pages of my site different looks (not with a css but with plain html) and Opera will not render the colors the right way. In fact, it will not render them at all. Maybe it will only listen to css and not plain html.
problem 3: Opera loads the whole page frame after frame. Netfront on the other hand loads the frames separate. This is kinda daft maybe, but it prevents the 'lock-up' of the browser if something is 'bad' in a frame (i.e. not supported by the browser, in my case Opera crashing a page with a certain javascript applet). And maybe it'll save us netfront users some gprs costs because of it.
Problem 4: Opera isn't free. Netfront is, check the thread I started a view days ago http://nokiafree.org/forums/t60565/h/s.html
problem 5: Opera can't be more userdefined when compared to Netfront. Last mentioned simply had more options.
enz. enz.
bye bye

Thanks for the info about Netfront
By the way, what version of Opera are you guys using?
I'm still using the 6.10 with the old 96 days trial tricked
Was there any released of full version on mIRC?

I've encountered some problems with Netfront.
1. It will not load any big pictures, this is very funny because I tried to load the same pics with Opera and it passed the test.
2. Opera will load the frames, and in a more 'natural' way when compared to Netfront (but you wont be able to use them cause they're just to small, but it will let you experience the original layout of a page, and you're able to choose the frames). You will have to view the page in full format, thus not in the small rendering mode. And with the small rendering engine off, Opera still will not display the javasript in the correct way, but at least it will see the links I've put in the javascript so I can go on with browsing. Netfront displays the javascript applet the correct way, but it will not see the links. this is pretty hopeless. arghhhh
3. the graphical lay-out is still a problem with Opera altough with small rendering off it dislpays some pages better when compared with the small rendering engine on
If these problems can be fixed by Netfront, it will simply be better

And Opera is Norwegian Too! The creators are so rich now, they got a couple hundred million each when they made it into a stock based company....
Nice idea

I installed NetFront and it didn't work for some reason plus the GUI didn't look too flashy. So I turned to Opera and works perfectly.
And yea, I can access Nokia FREE via Opera fine. Works like a charm ...
