everytime i open my messages on my 6600, it jus close on me saying "App MCE closed". tried all ways to fixed it, tried to figure out with my app manager prob.... nothing works! anyone know how to solve this?
secondly, did u guys realised that the rally pro game (maybe on 6600) will delete ALL your calendar settings n items? wat a nice glitch!!!
thirdly anyone in singapore done the firmware upgrade for 6600? do they have it in singapore?
n lastly, does the firmware upgrade delete all your stuff away like a hard format? do i need to backup?

hey there, im from singapore too.
regarding the error, it might help if u format the fone.
flashing the fone at nokia, will empty ur fone mem, so u can back up ur fone mem to the mmc 1st. go to mem to back up. delete 2/3 contacts, den try restoring them to see if the back up works.

Jus one last qn, just realised the backup utility can only backup messages, calendar but not contacts.
Any idea anyone, that the backup function of the 6600, backup what else? how do i backup my contacts? sim card too low on memory.....

yeah, i was horrified to see ALL my calendar reset, i really have many important schedules... f*ckup game man. tough to play and tough on my calendar....
nvm, its out of my phone now..... :evil:

You can copy your contacts to the SIM Card, but you can't copy two numbers under the same name. You can't store Pager numbers or e-mails etc

oh yeah, din tot of that! thanks alot guys....luckily u reminded me of that. but i have no way of connecting the phone to my pc... so i cant use the nokia pc suite... i use my mmc reader instead...
qn 1 - so anyone know where is the contacts stored on the C drive in the phone?
qn 2 - wat does the 6600 backup utility save? i noe, messages n calendar. how about the phone settings, etc? like profiles?

erm, u can delete all the contacts in ur sim 1st, then mass move. its a great function tt other symbians miss out on.
try changing the settings, menu short cuts, then restore the back up. see if it comes back.
and i tink the contacts are in c:/system/data/contacts.cdb.
but u cant move the contacts, theres a way to, but i forgot :-P
