Why doesn't someone make an app that gives us "flight mode", i.e. turning of some features to give us more RAM? It could probably be done wo needing to remove the SIM. It could be called "Extra RAM mode" or something. I apologize if it's already been done.

Ok thanks, I will install that when I get my phone back from service. But what do you think about my idea?

the second idea is great, when i do it on my 3650 i get 4mb of ram, then if you compress ram with smart launcher as well i get up to 4.1 max

to us my phones as a pda or game machine etc I stick in an old SIM from a canceled contract. That way the phone boots up as normal but with "SIM register failed".

Well, I use a dual-sim on my 3660. When I need to use flight mode, instead of yanking out the sim, I just move the switch on the back to a middle position.

Works well for me. :)
