new section set up, symbian faqs.

down there, are some faqs that will come in handy to symbian users.

and undoubtly, some of u will encounter probs, or dun understand the faqs, so ask them here.

and pls cooperate, make tis thread neat, dun make unneccessay posts here!

Ok, first up.. I've read posts saying "yes" and some saying "no".. what's the real answer to this question?

"Can you access the internet on your phone via sharing an internet connection on your PC?"

If so, list your phone model, whether you used IR or BT and any helpful settings for the phone and/or PC.

u need opera or netfront (netfront din work for me), then set up a connection following the faq, i use bt btw, not sure if irda worked

and fones that work, are ngage, 3650/7650, not sure bout 6600, shld work too.

there is no folder called c\system\phone\logo or what eva it is

can i have a file destination

the oplogo is in c:/system/app/phone/oplogo, u miss out the app folder!

there is no folder called app
there is 1 called apps,
but then there is no folder caled phone in that folder

u need to set a oplogo 1st(using fexplorer or seleq, etc), the default one (ur network) wun b shown there.

but what do i have to do to get a picture at the top?

and my fexplorer wont go to th settings menu?

i use 160kbps for video and 24000Hz, 24kbps for audio (mono)
movies are very smooth and high quality and audio is ok too
u can use as well lower audio settings cause the quality of the phone and the headphones arent gr8

@tzeonn: I for one dont get what you do want posted here... do you want ppl to make pre-done questions+answers in one post, or ppl to post just questions that they think are frequently asked and get short to the point responses from others?

because symbian faqs is a none posting section, undoubtedly, some ppl haf probs understanding, and cant post there.

so i made a sticky to ans any doubts u might haf on any faqs that u are not sure of.
