Hi everyone, I just want to know whether anyone has bought HDR-1 and tried it on N6600 to see whether it works..............On Nokia official website, it only supports older models........And i look at the pins connectors, it should work with N6600......I just want to confirm......Any advice from the experts?........Thanks a lot!

What a beauty! This device works on any phone that has the charger and handsfree port parallel. It will work on phones like 3310, 3315 and 8310
And guess what! A colour phone, the 6600 works as well!
If the 3650 and 7650 has the charger/handsfree port parallel (see pic attached)

Connected to 3310: http://www.mobiles.co.uk/images/nmp_n3.jpg
What I dont get is why this pic (http://www.mobiles.co.uk/images/nmp_shad.jpg) has a blue screen, and I have a green. I WANT BLUE!
But in conclusion, yes ... the HDR-1 Music Player is compatible with the 6600. But for N-Gage and other phones (esp. those with pop-ports) can't use the handsfree option in the HDR-1 ... but the HDR-1 can be used as a standalone player mp3/aac player

When connected to phone, can HDR-1 work with no battery? I mean, while it is already connected to battery of the phone, can it draw power? Thanks..

When it is connected to the PC, the HDR-1 draws power from the computer
I'm not sure about connection with the phone though. The last time I connected, I didn't pay any attention.
I will check soon and report ASAP ...

Thx.. I hope it works without a battery, otherwise it will be quiet cumbersome for me to recharge 2 seperate units. Cheers

I'm going to test it, but taking out the AAA battery ... and see if it uses the phone's battery. BRB!
