Installing by downloading on 6600

Hi Guys,

First post here...

Ive used the search function to try find my answer but no luck, although i did find some intreasting stuff! :)

What im doing is im trying to install the average joe bloggs apps on my 6600, so far ive downloaded the Psiloc Total irRemote v1.41.zip, i aint got a datacable or card reader, so i decided to pop the zip file on my webspace and downloaded it from my phone, no luck...so i thought maybe it dont understand this zip format, so i extracted the files on my pc till they where in .sis format, re-uploaded and tried to download again with my phone. But it never worked, gave me some reader error i think (forgot the error)

So im thinking, is this app un-compatable, or am i doing it wrong? Im looking at purchasing a card reader to prevent high download rates.

any advise and help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for that info....

I logged onto your wap site with my mobile phone, i tried to download SkyForce (i think) but the phoned never did anything, i waited a few mins hoping i would see it download but it never.

I moved onto download another App called Worms, once that downloaded it opened "notes" or somethign and gave me an error, i then downloaded jackass and that opened notes in jackass.jar with funny characters.

Sorry for sounding dumb, but am i doing something wrong? am i downloading incompatable software, or do i need a reader/installer on the phone??

as far as you see there are different mirror for each application.
some wap gateways dont allow downloading for mirror[1] and
some other from mirror[2] or maybe [3].

some other wap connections translate the jar or sis files into text/vnd.wap
and some other into application/wap (usually in 6600 the fucking secured phone)

so for my connection I can download from mirror 2, some other friends of mine(vodafone greece) can do it ONLY from mirror [1]

btw skyforce is 800 kb, so u need 30minutes of wap downloading
