As long as the KBPS (Kilobits per second) stays the same then the quality will remain the same.

well, why amr?? its the worst quality format... wav = high quality. amr = low quality

but if u convert to wav using pc suite it will also drop in quality so for best results i suggest u get an mp3 player like ultramp3 and stay with the mp3 format

in fact, 6600 and 3650/3660 are only mono fones. so its better u convert to mono, save space. even if its stereo, u cant hear the good quality from it, ur fone only allows mono.

btw, converting to wav wif pc suite sort of optimizes the sound file to the capabilities of ur fone.

too bad ultramp3 cant play sounds in stereo, else i'd use it over the default mp3 player on my ngage.
