Windows XP does not require any drivers for the N-Gage USB.
This shouldn't be a problem. When I plugged it in, my XP Pro system automatically set-up everything and I could start using it. Hassle free!
So ... is it your USB port? Try a different port ...

What's "hp" tzeonn?
I'm having the same problem now :-? ironic isn't it?
Mainly because I just got my N-Gage yesterday lol
Few facts you must know about my problem:
1. My first N-Gage didn't have problems connecting to this computer (Windows XP Professional with N-Gage PC Suite and Audio Manager installed and other programs related and not-related to phones)
2. the 256MB card i'm using in my current n-gage was the same one used in the first one
3. The 256mb mmc has been formatted on the N-Gage, not with MMC Card Reader/Writer nor MMC Medic
4. The USB Cable are not the same. I sold the first cable on Ebay. I got another cable when I bought another N-Gage package
5. I've tried three USB ports with no results
Help? And while you're at it, please help king_hatem_99!
Cheers!

the reason the usb cannot recognise the mmc card is because there is no fat16 partition...
there might be a fat12 (ngage) or fat32 (xp) but these make it invisible thru the usb...
the card must be partitioned with a fat16 system..
cheers ;)

well you'll need a card reader or in my case my concord camera (which acts as a card reader)...
i use fdisk since i work on a winme system. I basically select the 2nd hard disk it recognises (the mmc via the reader) and then i proceed to create a primary partition....winxp use mmcmedic or read 13thhour post at n-gage-help.com...
then i format it in my ngage and it works thru the usb drive...
mind u that was with 3.30....now ive upgraded to 4.03 it doesnt have the usb prob when u format it in the ngage....
cheers ;)

Problem is though, I formatted it with MMC Medic. Then I formatted it on my N-Gage. Connect N-Gage to PC via USB cable, nothing picks up.
Why? (PS: Don't stress guys, I don't need the USB Cable everyday)
Should I:
1. Try a different USB Cable?
2. Try upgrading the firmware to 4.03?
3. Try a different MMC Card?
I prefer Option 2 ... but I bought my N-gage 2nd hand. So how can I prove the when and where purchase of the phone?
Btw, if Nikos is a_dude ... you're in Australia? the Gold Coast? I'm in Brisbane. If you are in Gold Coast ... we should have some Aussie N-Gage BT Showdown ...

Not sure a_dude. Not sure when or where. School is such a pain in the ass. Especially Grade 11 ...
Guess what! My USB Cable is working now! I just formatted the card using my sister's Canon Digital Camera (SD slot device) then formatted on my N-Gage. Works! W00t!
