turning of phone function in 6600

is there anyway of turning of the phone function in 6600 temporarily? i would like to use the softwares in the phone during flights. i am wondering if this is possible? would the phone still function without the sim card in it? never tried it, but to my knowledge, phones usually don't work without the sim card inserted. thanks for any help.

does system tools work with 6600? i tried using system tools before. when i restarted with the flight mode on, it doesn't seem to make any difference on 6600.

hmm... yea, i heard system tools wun work... mayb u can try diff versions?

of, insert a sim that cant make calls/no networks.

for 6600... the newest version of system tools only works on the new firmware.... so if u wanna use flight mode u need the new firmware first
