3501i usb data cable problem pls pls HELP

i have 3510 usb data cable and 3510i mobile phone.

when i'm connecting the cable to the mobile and the usb to the computer it's all fine. the problem is that i can't turn on the mobile phone (it's not working).
when i take the usb off the computer and the cable is still connected to the mobile phone.. i can turn it on with no problem.

so my question is, whta is the problem ? i'm doing something wrong ?
do i need 3510i usb data cable instead of my 3510 data cable ?

there's differnt between 3510 serial cable and usb data cable ?


please please help i really don't know what to do.

HI kukula this USB port data cable is worked for mentioned phone as simulation COM port. You may link your phone mobile phone to your PC. USB is not supported on Windows 95, 98 First Edition or Windows NT. Data cable for PROFESSIONALS only, otherwise, it may easily damage your mobile phone by incorrect operation.

kayzen thanks for replaying.. but this is not the case.

i'm using win 2000 or Xp for this usb data cable.. and i don't have any problem with the drivers (everything's fine).

i'm only stuck in the Level of turning my mobile on, that's all.

all 3 lights on the usb cable is working and the driver installation is good.

so i really don't have any idea why i can't turn the mobile on (just when it connected to the usb on the computer).

i have tried 2 different mobile (both 3510i) on to different cellolar companies.

so please please if you can help me with this i'll be greatefull
