Hi everyone.

I don't know if this topic has been covered at all, but I didn't see it in the forum anywhere, and I'm pretty excited that I finally figured it out, seeing as I've been unable to play Java games for about 3 or 4 months now.

Anyway, this is basically what I did to get Java games working on my Nokia 6600 phone, so I'm guessing that this applies to most, if not all, Series 60 platform phones.

Firstly, I got rid of all of the Java games that were on the phone. That means from the manager, from the APPS folder on the relevant memory store (phone or MMC) and also both the MIDlets directories (the *.ini files).

Then both the files from the c:\system\data\midp2\systemams directory.
Then reboot the phone.

First try installing a java game that you know works. Sounds like a silly step, but those are usually the ones that you miss, and get you all pissed off :p

Have fun, hope it works as well for you as it did for me.

At least now I won't keep trying to convince myself that all I need to get it working is to format it just once more.....

Shafiq.

Dude i think you must restart your phone first and then try removing it.....

I think the way around that is to cause the phone to crash by installing something that will bring up a childinstaller error.
Then the files are freed while the process hangs, and you should be able to swipe them off the phone without the process knowing.
Then it's a simple reboot, and you're done :)
