Lots of people claim that they have filled up a 256MMC, and I believe them, it wouldn't be very difficult to do.

for wat fone?

yes, i heard it too, but only for new 6600 firmwares, where they cant install up to more than 100+ mb of apps. not videos, sms, ringtones, but purely 100mb of apps.

not sure if its true thou, but i dun tink u need so many apps installed :-P

well 1 app is about 0.5mb - 1.5mb

so lets say thats 80 - 100 apps on ur phone.... it would take u over half a minute just to get down to the bottom of ur menu! u wont ever need that many apps

Counting ngage games it grows quite fast. I'm at 85Mb of apps now, but with 2Mb left on the card. :-P

250free. yeah i load movies for work.. and got about 100 nes/gameboy/eMame/genesis games on the phone also. so the card is constantly taken out to be moved around by a card reader. 'alot faster then bleutooth!'

with 3.xx firmware.

512 do work, but only certain brands i tink. TEC, twinmos and kingmax works if im not wrong.

don't buy the kingmax. i had it, definitly compatibility problems with nokia phones. i had to buy replacement. so i went with toprams stuff which i think is imported by TEC?

I'm new to the 6600 game and search is no go, so it's true that SD cards don't work in the 6600? Is it because the SD's need that extra contact pin to be used which the 6600 is missing?

sd cards dont work becoz sd and mmc are 2 totaly different cards. its either mmc or sd.... on 6600 its mmc

SDs are fatter than MMC cards as well. thats why nokia chose to use MMC and now are going for reduced size MMC cards

check ebay
In terms of brands there's pretec, kingmax, ATP, maybe simpletech, and maybe sandisk.

You can try searching the forum too, I'm sure someone's got a link that will lead you to a gig MMC
