Comparing the price of 1GB to the 2GB ... the 2GB is cheaper. But comparing 2GB with 256MB ... you know which one is cheaper.

I'm not really interested in buying MMC anymore. I'm looking for RS-MMC. For me future 7610 ...

Maybe not too long. RS-MMC is the same as regular-sized MMC. Manufacturers will simply transfer the contents of the existing MMC to smaller RS-MMC packaging, no rocket science here...

I just hope they get their act together very fast. At the moment, I've only seen Kingmax with the 256MB RS-MMC. Any other brands?

I had a bad experience with Kingmax 256MB MMC last time ...
