I've looked thru previous threads for some help with this but still confused...

Trying to connect a nokia6600 to my PC with Windows XP, bought a BELKIN USB Bluetooth device, but anytime I try to connect the phone to the PC Suite, it says, "Media Type not supported". Nokia Cust Care said it was the Belkin Bluetooth Device, that it was useless so I bought another one, this time a D-Link DBT-120 USB device, and the exact same problems again. Nokia Ireland are useless for advice, can anyone help me please with this? I've had this phone since Feb, please please someone help me with this, as i'm at my wits end...
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help,
Rob

Why not try a direct file transfer?
I had a friend who had a problem with the suite and his blutooth device as well. You could always just send the file directly, i.e. Rightclick file->send->blutooth.

That could temporarily sort out a few problems as you'll be able to send your important files right now. As for the suite, no idea on how to fix it. I don't even use it. If i need to convert media, i just use nokia's official multimedia converter which is available free on their forum.

Hope this helps...

Thanks Anarchist!!!

I'll check out the Nokia Forum and see what I can get me hands on there, at some point I'm going to want to sync up my Outlook with my 6600 though so I'll probably be back here again sometime

Cheers

Sync Outlook? You can do that?!
hehe

Hmm... you is one organised hp owner.

BTW, for sync, you can use this other direct connection BT program, performs same-ish functions as outlook, but less of complete package.... i remember downloading it... it doesn't link with outlook, but hey. I'll get u the link for it as soon as i find it among my favourites.

I got the belkin BT usb card, it use to go to my 3650 which worked well most of the time. But I'm having ocasional problem with the 6600. When I try to enable bluetooth I have to do it 2 or 3 times before it says successful. Make sure its on the right com port. I enable all of them until I find out which one works, then I go back and disable the rest just to be safe. Anyway, it works most of the time, it's great for syncing contacts and calendar in outlook.

Wierd one that, 'cos Nokia Cust Care said the Belkin was useless and it's known for not working with the Suite.. I've never got it to recognise the 6600... I think some of them in Nokia haven't a clue, you get so much conflicting advice when you ring in!!!
Waiting on Nokia to get back to me at the mo, cos at this stage I think I've tried everything, if I have any sucess I'll post it up here :)
Cheers
