Nokia 7700 CANCELLED

Nokia killed thier first Series 90 phone just before the release, they said the software wasnt ready to be released. Fourtunatly the phone will be released ONLY for research or testing for some companys, and another S90 device will be announced for release in 2005;

Lets just hope it'll be good lookin

Some people were looking forward to it. I like the icons and its futuristic looks, but the taco-ness? Hmm ...

Well, hope Nokia makes a Series 90 phone and quickly releases into the market (not so fast, that a "i" phone will appear again ... :-x )
Or, wait for Sony Ericsson or Siemens to make a Series 90 phone lol :lol:

Nokia are using the 7700 for trial purposes only, and that they have "no current plans to make it commercially available

Try this, go to Nokia website and look for other countries pages. At the Nokia UK there is an announcement that the N7700 wont be available for the masses. But other countries have it on the coming soon section...
On the first add here in Finland it was said to be launched on the second half of 2004, but just last week Nokia removed the date from the website. Still, some countries Nokia websites, like Italy, have still the date 2nd half of 2004.

Thats because nokia havent updated ALL thier sites, they updated the global but not yet the others, but IT IS CANCELLED, and another S90 phone with a much more stable software will be released in 2005.

I talked to someone from Nokia and he too said that the 7700 is cancelled.

thats wat i heard too.

the technicians in ncc told me that the 7700 is cancelled. hmmm, thats ok, i wun buy a huge phone anyway (6600 is the max i would go)

either i will get a 7610 or 6630. see hows the price will be during christmas. :-)
