N-GAGE : PLEASE list known bugs here...

So far, I've been able to find these bugs:

1. There is no way to erase an individual message report. Also, u can't erase them all, unless u erase all logs.

2. Sometimes (but not always) after listening to mp3, some app and game icons will not appear until u restart your phone.

i noe one irritating one... if i have the mp3 player running, and i press the radio without switching off the mp3 player first, my screensaver will get stuck wif the name of the present radio station tat was running.

Well... when I turned my profile to OFFLINE, the phone didn't turn back on...

That's about the biggest bug I've found.

3. if u have VBR mp3, and u'r listening in random mode, sometimes the mp3 will be stated as having a larger duration, and the mp3 will not change automaticaaly after play

4. When I installed miniGPS, the phone kept restarting...

5) When you try to power on when charging, sometimes it doesn´t turn on.

As of late, my N-Gage has started to turn itself off while I am sleeping. Which is odd. It only seems to happen when I have had my MP3 player on for longer than 2 days straight, and it is on the silent profile, and the only way I can fix it is by removing the MMC, than starting up the phone, shutting it back down, putting the MMC back in than powering the phone back on.

So I guess that I will have to start closing the MP3 player after I have finished using it, which sucks because it takes a couple of minutes for it to start back up.

everyone forgeting the WSOD? white screen of death...

don't max out (fill up) your C Drive or your phone wont boot up again unless you take it to Nokia....

and the fact that there is NO file manager to clean up C Drive as well smacks on stupidity on Nokias part...

Mine is 4.03... Today i experienced the "oddest" thing in my n-gage... it was somethin like "erro no arranque do dispositivo. contactar retalhista", which means "device boot error. contact retailer" or sth... everything went okay with the *#7370# code :D
i don't wanna take it to nokia cuz i unlocked the phone and (i think) the warranty is dead now... dont wanna pay 50€ for the repair... LoL symbian phones have loads of problemz... =//

okay... one more thing.. when the device says that the application MAY not be compatible with it, it means it WON'T be compatible with the device... the same error again... the same *#7370# solution... and.. formatting the mmc...
bth, is there any way to copy the contacts from the contact list to the simcard?

no n-gage will be under no warranty (cause they'r all less than 1 year "old") , even if u have them unlocked.

nhum n-gage ta fora da garantia... mm k o fodas tdo... e desblokeies...

Myself got a n-Gage , and a 3650 , sometime ago i went with the 3650 to nokia in Areeiro for a firmware update , but they haven't the version i wanted, and no problems at all, recentl i boght the n-gage , and also am getting lot's of bug's with the original firmware , some like for example when getting fles though USB ig i eject the device and unplug it right after some times the fone does not like it very much , i've seen ths with other n-gage , not only this one.

if you try to turn off a certain apps mid way by pressing the red button(call end) phone may hang while trying to open a new application. this is cause the previous apps is still residing in the phones ram and is hogging memory so you can either close thet application by using software like application manager or you can restart the phone. this generally overcomes the problem.

any ways n-gage is better than n-gage qd. by all means

n-gage rulez. it has far more features as compared to QD. radio, music player. Usb connectivity.
the other day we had gone out on the beach for night out and my trusted N-Gage was with me. we had taken along our speaker system and we had a blast as we connected ADA-2 cable to n-gage. all thanks to n-gage. also its easier to transfer directly to n-gage via usb. and lot of things can be done with it. truly said
" N-Gage is SWISS KNIFE of cell phones."

well..might as well post in here...

previously i f*cked up my fone but transferring the contacts.cdb from the 7610 to my n-gage, my ngage wont start, it states device start up failed, contact retailer, i've flashed it to 4.03 i thought that was the ending of my missery but it just only began.

whenever i install apps on my mmc via card reader or usb (installation via folders, no sis installer) my mmc space stays the same, it will only go down whenever i install apps using a sis installer copied on my root directory of E:, thats not all i frequently encounter the device start up failed problem.

another problem was the usb cable stopped recognizing my mmc, but i solved it using partition manager but my capicity lessen from 125mb to 118mb.

i am thinking of buying a new mmc, think its the one causing the trouble.

It seems that if you receive a message at EXACTLY the same time as you are sending one it corrupts the Index file, thus erasing all your messages, anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

i dont know how this bug crept into my n-gage qd...
previously my to-do lists were working fine.. but after i installed and uninstalled several games on mmc... its acting strange..
whenever i make a new to-do note it shows in the list as long as the to-do app is active.. as soon as i exit the to-do list... poof ... all the items are gone and all that remains is an empty list..
