How to Use 7610 Features

Ok, here are some features that appear on the Nokia 7610. If you know how to use one of them, please help us out. If there is a Service out there which can make full use of the feature ... by all means, please tell us! Thanks in advance!

i dont have a 7610, but i am guessing the device manager is for external add-ons like the BT keyboard. :-P

1) Presence, Positioning, and Device Manager are all provider dependent, so call your provider and ask them whether they provide these services,

I dont think that there is wireless provider that has these features yet, I bet most of them never heard of it yet.

2) For the Sync program there is a good explenation in ur users guide pages 117 thru 119, sorry I couldnt help with it cuz i never used it before.

Device manager is:

Device manager allows a third party, such as your service provider, to assist you directly with phone settings. To allow device management, your phone must establish a connection and synchronise with the third party’s server. You can start the synchronisation session from your phone, and you can accept or reject server-initiated synchronisation attempts.

This feature is operator dependent and may not be available on all phones.

for positioning....it's a inbuild GPS system in ur phone...

but something i must say is...i rather u use the MiniGps by psiloc....which is much better in functions..

PS: I asked the questions here, because I bought my 7610 from HKG. And my User's Guides were in Chinese! ARGH :-o
At least I had previous experience with a Symbian 6600 ... :D

As you all know, the 7610 system is faster than the 6600

Apparently, if you don't have a RS-MMC inserted in the 7610 ... the system would be even faster

I haven't tried this yet. I have to take 1 Mega Pixel pictures regularly ...

How do I set up the Sync-ing between PC and phone (eg Contacts and Calendar notes)?
I want it set up via Bluetooth

For Positioning, I read on the Interactive Tutorial that you'll receive a Positioning Request. If you accept, it will give the person who requested it ... your position.
But how do you send a Position Request to someone else's phone? (eg know where your feminine friends are ... :lol:)

I still don't know how Presence works ... but I presume it'll be useful once Optus provides the service :-x
