Themes on Nokia 7610

As most of us know, you cannot cross-mix icons and wallpapers from other themes installed.

As I have the "7610 Black" made by Mango installed on my 7610 ... I dislike Mango's icon scheme and prefer the original Nokia icons.

How do I edit the icons only in a theme? :-?

use UnMakeSIS to extract the MBM, then MBM wizard to extract the image files from the MBM files...

Did you know Mango has suspended my rights in purchasing their themes?

Mainly because I've been rebelling against them by posting their themes on forums, web sites, groups, Aivanet (www.aivanet.com) and #mediaplace on mIrc.
Then those who downloaded them, started sharing as well and gave credits to me again lol :lol:

Plus, I reckon Mango isn't working hard enough. Most of the theme icons are the same - just a different shading and different colours

Ow and indeed Mago themes aren't worth 5 euro, some are really nice but still with standard digital clock, i mean every one uses digital, i'd rather have standard icons than standard clock...

No one understands at the moment. You cannot cross-mix icons on the Nokia 7610. The 7610, the 7610, the 7610. Not 6600, the 7610.

There is no option to change Icons on the Nokia 7610

well my comment on themes are

1. Nokia why aren't u making any and posting em on the australian site

2. Most themes out there are crap its like comparing them with a yahoo webpage or geocities at least they are trying!

3. i only have found these themes to be the best

a) the crystallized theme i luv it i have been using it for the past 7 months
its a shame the author is not making the bbx theme http://www.hostinganime.com/esbalok/mercurytheme.html i wish someone can continue on wif it

b) i also found the mac os theme http://www.anx6600.altervista.org/ nice

c) some mango themes are cool but u cannot add wallpaper to some of em ie the devil one it looks crap

4. But there other killer theme apps out there like screen style used to be refered to as trigplayer http://www.trigenix.com/

5. and the new the musiwaves pictones http://www.musiwave.net

I have Screen Styles, but it only works on the 3650. Screen Styles is the name of the program that Trigenix marketed for T-Mobile UK. I'm not sure if its compatible with the newer phones but the Trigs for Trigplayer only worked on the N-Gage and the 3650.

In hear You have all graphics from mango white (just change from txt to rar)

Yao cant make a theme from that !
idiots from mango are using some other program to make them and the graphics are not the same size as in "Series 60 Theme Studio" - so when You are trying to make it - program fails becouse they are to big or to small plus You cant make it so It will look the same.

IF You have the program that mango idiets are using then its no problem.

I had a chat with AEFOX, and he accidentally leaked out information to me: his Mango Team uses the Series 60 Theme Studio. I presume this is the free program available for download from http://forum.nokia.com

Says "Attachments Pending Approval". Oh, and btw ~ is it possible to have Frost icons fused into 7610 White theme?

I think that if You will put a wallpaper made from mango theme to mine theme it can look litle bit beter, but stil....

I've got BMCONV.EXE again, and fused the Frost Icons into Mango's N7610B theme.

Replaced all the neccessary icons, but how do you make all those 336 BMP into a MBM file again?

I don't have MBM Wizard, and I don't know how to do that with BMCONV.EXE yet

Extract all graphic from mango white.
Extract all icons from frost.

Instal "Series 60 Theme Studio" - and make a new theme - but like I told You, its very dificult to make it look good.

Actually, I did it in a different way - much easier!

Used Bmconv.exe (thanks shad0w!) to extract the icons from Frost and N7610B. Fused the Frost icons into N7610B theme.

Used MBM Whizard (thanks |Deton8r|!) to make all the BMP files into a MBM file again.

Installed the N7610B theme like normal. Then replaced the original N7610B.mbm with my newly created one.

Looks: The theme stays the same, still the one made by Mango Themes. But where they had those lame dull icons ... they're replaced with the icons from the Frost theme

Piece of Cake! :D

PS: Think I'll fuse the Frost Icons into all my Mango Themes
PS2: AEFox, if you're reading this ... I'm doing this only for self-pleasure. Not for commercial or piracy reasons. Blame Nokia for not allowing the 7610 to "cross-mix" icons in the Themes feature

It can Import and Export MBM. You know what I mean. It can extract BMP's from a MBM, and create a MBM too. MBM Wizard uses bmconv.exe in the background (you can see the program in the root directory)

Its not so easy to find it becouse this program woas never finished !
Like You sad You cant imort and export graphic.

In fue days I hope to fix it as i managed to decompile that program.
But its not good that its spreding out.
I'am making themes on my own and I wouldn like that someone would take my icons becouse its take some time to make about 100 icons + masks.
And some one can steal it easy.

When I will finish my program I hope it will go quickly to swap icons that I made with the hemes of people that leave them orginaly blue - and they look stupid.
