It seem we all experience a little bit of trouble with our phones but how many times have you actually had to send your symbian back to nokia?

@Whitey420 go into the post officec and get a proof of posting reciept when you send your phone off, this makes sure your phone gets to the other end. I send severything this way memory cards, phones and discs etc. Although I've gotta send DVDs to Africa but I'll just pray they don't get nicked by customs, corruption is everywhere.

I sent back my 3650 a couple of times but i voted for 4, thats the amount of times i sent my 7650 back.
1st time because of a strange firmware fault (very quiet ringtones even though they were loud in the menu)
2nd time because of a broken joystick and dust behind the screen
3rd time because of dust behind the screen and broken * button
4th time because of dust behind the screen and for firmware upgrade
I could've done with sending it in every week to get rid of the dust though :)

hmmm, i voted for 3.

all 3 times, for my 3650.

2 time for firmware upgrade, and once to fix the vibrator, which was spoilt.

Only once at the moment, when MMS didn't work anymore on my ex-6600
Got a firmware reflash.

Afterwards, I realized that you could do the three-key format ... so NCC wasn't needed anymore :lol:

~~~~~~~
I think I'll go to the NCC to get my 7610 flashed with an Australian firmware :D
And a new keypad without those Asian strokes :D
I voted once, I had to send my N-Gage back only once (and hopefully the only time).
sent my 3650 back twice. once to get a firmware upgrade so that when i plugged my hands free in, my mp3's only came through the hands free and not the loud speaker as well. havin put this new firmware on kinda buggered everythin else up, wouldnt boot very well, kept gettin sim registration failed error messages everytime i exited out of the menu etc etc. took it back and they sent it off again to be repaired, got it back 3 weeks later and it hadnt changed at all.still had all the same problems.
couldnt be bothered to wait another 3 weeks for them to do nothing to it even though when i emailed nokia about it, they urged me to send it off again.
ive just lived with it now, managed to get rid of the sim registration error but it still dont boot up very well which is a bitch, cos im always takin my mmc out to put stuff on
i got my nokia 6600 on the tuesday, on the thursday it went back due to completely random restarts, and 4 hours later i was back in the shop getting another replacement as the 3 button didnt work, still got the same problem with this one as the first, but not as often, not bothered to take this one back as i now realise this is an issue with the firmware, need to update it, but my nsc is miles away and i not had time to take it yet.
I voted never sent; although I sent my prevous 7650, 3650 and now 6600 only for firmware upgrade at Nokia Care Centre. Based on this poll's result, it seems that nokia phones are reasonably durable.
It seems like these phones are a bit more reliable than I thought but I spose thats just because we stick together and sort our problems out here as a team!
Send back twice,drop the phone from a 1m tall table and 2 pixel dead,2nd time the same thing happen! Lighting strike twice on the same spot!! Damm unlucky.
Strongest phone I've ever had is a 6310i that got run over by a concrete mixer (26 tonne). Thing ended up about 2mm thiner, but most importantly still working.
Holy shit, look at those results.
Lots of you will be thinking that it's ok, most people haven't sent their phones back but just think about it. 60% of phones being ok is a terrible record, if it were cars, tvs, xboxs, pcs anything like that then that company would be disgraced and probably outed on Watchdog or something.
I hope Nokia reads this and gets their act together.
did any of you guys get told to send your phone to www.mprc.co.uk? because the shop I bought the phone from said mprc.co.uk deal with all warranty requests on all nokia phones, in Britain atleast.
just want to know if they fixed your phone and returned it safely :-P
Haha, i send my 3650 to NCC (5min distance from my home) for 3 times. My 3650 just like my application tester. The last time NCC said it beyond repair, the chip dead, it can't be flash anymore.
So to bad....after a week, a normal fone shop said it can be repair by changing the chip on the mother board, spent me S$170(less than US$100), my 3650 reborn.
Even Symbian fone might encounter all this troublesome things, but u know, after you used a Smart Fone, would you used normal fone anymore?
:lol: :lol:
dont you just hate it when ppl with a tiny flip phone and thinks its better than the bigger symbian phone u have? :-x well they get a shock when they learn wot they do :D
cheap people buy small flip phones :P
As I am an owner of a Nokia 7610 (third Symbian) ... I'd like to add that my phone currently hasn't been through any problems or flaws.
My 6600 did once (failed in sending mms). N-Gage nearly failed in starting up :-o
