View Full Version : mscomctl.ocx missing !!!

I have had to wipe my hdd, I need the mscomctl.ocx file for eeprom tools, I have posted on other forums before to help people who needed this file and how to register it, the original post was by vinny, I did have in print and on floppy, but have loaned it to someone, I need this for tonight - can anyone help

copy file to windows\system and use regedit to add file to system and it will be work fine Best Regards

thanks again jacek m8, thelast time I used this I went to run, and typed in the command line to register the file, (regsvr\mscomctl.ocx) can you tell me if this is the right command, I am using windows me,

You have to write like this "regsvr32 mscomctl.ocx"

thanks again, jacek, I tried that m8, no use still getting error message, instead of successful message. as I said it was vinny's post on one of the old forums, someone else came in and said to try another link, It was a nice straight forward set up, I had no probs with it, I even posted it on other forums to help others, but I put it on a floppy and gave it to my m8, I think I will have to wait until I can get it back, I have been in all the search engines looking for this, there are thousands of them, I have tried many of them without success, any other ideas? , m8:)

The file posted is an older version and you mentioned using Windows 'NOT FOR' Me :)

I would suspect that has something to do with it.. Unfortunately we personally as you can tell dont use Win Me so dont know if our 98se version would do you any good..

Let us know how you make out..

thanks for your help, much appreciated, my m8 sent me mscomctlfix.exe and that sorted it, eeprom tools up and running, anyone needing this file just pm me and its yours:) :) :)
