7610 System Breakdown

Eek! My Nokia 7610 is malfunctioning!

I could send SMS perfectly before, but now it keeps giving me "Message Sending Failed" within 3 seconds of me pressing "Send"

I have plenty of coverage (83%)
Battery power is enough

Can it be a software conflict? :-?

This could be also a network related problem. Even if you have good coverage that does´nt mean you will be able to send any messages or maybe use GPRS.
Have you tried it elsewhere?

I did a three-key format on my 7610, then sent a SMS and it was successful

However, after I did a restoration of my files via Nokia Content Copier using a USB Cable connection ... my messages fail again :-?

I'm concerned ... :-x

must be one of the files youve put on or a program that you've installed recently.

try doin a format again, and seein if you can send an sms, then add a few files, and try and send another sms, and keep doin that till either you get all your files on your phone and can send sms still or it says message sending failed

then at least that way you might have some idea of whats causing it??

Ahh ... it doesn't matter anymore now. I'm selling my Asian 7610 Ruby on Ebay.com.au soon, as I'm getting a 7610 Onyx which is new and hopefully an Australian version. I'll just buy a Ruby X-Press On Cover once the Vodafone or Optus shops start selling them. The keypads must not have any Asian strokes whatsoever :-x

No more SMS problems, I hope. But I'd better be careful with what I install :D
