Hi there...
I am trying to install an app that is 1.2M, Well, i do have 2,7M empty space. However it says that thereis not enough memory. Delete some files first. How can i proceed please? There is not anything else to delete...

This is the only way which i noe wud solve if u hv nothing else to delete!

1.Get ur fone a file explorer (sumthing like seleq wud do)
2.AFTER u get the not enough memory error..use the file explorer and go to C:\nokia\installs..
3.u'll see the 1.2 mb file there..CUT the file and transfer it to e:\
4.when it is finished cutting..go to e:\ and install the file from there..ull not get a memory error..
5.look into tools-manager..if there is still an installation file for the particular app/game..if there is and to the left of it is a fone icon..delete tt file..
6.Enjoy the game or app :-P

hey, that method dont work, as soon as you copy the file to E: and try and install it, it just copies the file back to C:\Nokia\Installs and then get the out of memory error.

i tried it with geopod XE on my 3650. the file is 1.3mb and i got like 3 meg left on the phone memory but after i cut it and try and instlal it again, it just copies the file back to c:\nokia\installs and i get the out of memory error again

for me, i moved the file in e:, then install from fexplorer.

normally, if i send to phone, it ends up on phone mem of my ngage, when u install, it will take up space, so its like 2 times the amt on ur phone mem needed. moving to e: and installing from there shld solve it.

just thought of that after i sent the post, but it still dont work because i never send stuff to my phone, always transfer with mmc reader to my mmc, so when i try and install it, it isnt doubled up

It will still double up coz it will still copy itselc in the installs folder...

But i have a solution, use pc suite coz the epoc installer will extract the sis file on the pc and it will just send the files on the directories of the phone...

i know, but i think tzeonn ment it doubles it self up on the phone memory, cos he send his files to the phone memory on his ngage, then when you install it, it also copies the file to the install folder thats also on the phone memory and doublin it up. mine does double itself up but i only have 1 copy of it on my phone memory, the other copy is on my MMC card.

pc suite is a good idea, but i gave my idra away cos i never used it and was kinda crappy. ive only got a mmc reader/writer now

Thank you for your contributions but unfortunatelly none of them worked. I still get the "more space needed" messsage, although the file (quick office) is 1,227 and i haev got 2855 free....

transfer to mmc then use SELEQ. It doesn't copy the installer to phone memory unlike FILE EXPLORER. good luck. let me know if it works. it worked on my previous phone, 3650.

doesnt matter what program you use to copy the file, when you start to install it, the phones installer will copy the file back to the phone memory, it has nothin to do with any of the file explorers.

the file copied to the phone memory is just the same set up file as the one you transfer to the phone in the first place

you don't have to install it...
use UnMakeSIS and extract the QuickOffice.sis on your computer... and copy the neccessary files to its designated directories in MMC using a card reader.

Quick Office works pretty well on my 3650.
