I found a "Boom Headset" listed at Ebay.com.au and it was compatible with 3100, 6610, 7210 and 7250. So I presume it works with all Series 40 phones.

I went to Nokia.com.au and checked under the 7250 Enhancements, that its called the "Boom Headset HDB-4"

Ok, now I go to the Nokia.com.au home page again and have a look at the 7610 Enhancements ... and I find the "Boom Headset HDB-4" listed there too

So I presume the Series 40's "Boom Headset HDB-4" works on the Nokia 7610 as well?

What are your thoughts on this?

Based on my tolerance of destruction of genuine goods, and the level of risk i can tolerate ... I wouldn't do it

k2bk2b, can you test the HDB-4 on your 7610 and if it works - I'll buy one from Ebay.com.au :D

No problems mate. Seeing that Nokia listed the Boom Headset HDB-4 as an Enhancement for the 6610, 7250 and 7610 (and some other models, but haven't checked :-P ) ~~~ I think I'll just buy it.

I'm 80% certain it will work on the Nokia 7610.
Now to bid on the auction and await my win :D

the phone keeps saying inhancement not supported but it still works fine

Enhancement not supported? Why would it say that?
The HDB-4 (according to Nokia.com and Nokia.com.au) says its compatible!

Utterly confused :D

maybe its because the headset is actually a stereo headset, and the 7610 is only mono even though they both use a pop-port??

Why the f*** did Nokia make the 7610 Mono in the beginning?

Im utterly confused at their line of thoughts :-?

The Nokia HDB-4 Boom headset works on the 7610.

You might want to be careful ... as sometimes (because its a pop-port) it doesn't work because of a bad connection etc

So ... now ... is there a Dual Earpiece Headset that'll work on the 7610?
If its a Stereo Dual headset ... the 7610 would play Mono sound through both earpieces, right?
