Is there any app can control the light in symbian phones, like in SonyEricsson always on or always off or automatic, I know there is an app that make it always on (there is a free app for this, and in FExplorer) but is there a one for always off or can control witch to turn on the screen light or the keypad light or control the fade out of the light
There are a lot of options in c:\system\sharedata if you see the INI files you can for example control the idle time for the left and right key in the phone screen, so I think you can control the light, can anyone help on this(the app if there is one)

with extended profiles you can select for each profile if the backlight is always on off or automatic. you could try it

When I had the N-Gage and was playing Sims ... I'd always have FExplorer running in the background making sure the Light was always on.

Talk about good gameplay

Well, there is no need to turn the light of the keypad when playing games or compose MIDI song or watching clips even in dark(we can sense the keys if we want to use them), when the phone powers on first the light of screen turn on and then the light of the keypad, so I think we can control witch light to turn on.
About the light checker, I know there is a sound checker in 7650; anyway if there is one then we can control the fade of the light, when I had firmware 3.16 in my 3650 the was turning off without fade and now in firmware 4.16 it's fade and then turn off, so I think we can control the fade.
Always off is not enough but useful thanks ;)
I really need an app to control the fade and witch to turn on the screen light or the keypad light
what is the piont taking everything as a bit of laugh, if you think it's not useful for you simply don't post, try to respect others

Why everyone focus on the always off, all I need the always off for keypad, I post before that I need an app to play video and the light of the keypad is off, anyway always off is useful when you are under the sun directly (on the beach, I love it) there is no need for the light, even I don't play games so much, but I don't think that there is a guy who plays and looking at the keypad, when playing games all you look at is the screen
About the light checker can someone tell if there is something like this? If there is in 7650 and 6600 as Mariuszek said, is there one in 3650, I found no such thing in the whole cover
And ICEMAN5 I don't get what you mean??? if you plz explain more about what is going in your mind
