Hi,
Just got a Nokia 3660 because I lost my Nokia 6600. I like to take videos using my phone and I noticed that there is a big difference in the quality of the two phones.
For the Nokia 6600, videos taken are not pixelated vs. 3660. Also, it seems that the Nokia 6600 needs less light to take pictures vs. the 3660. I'm not sure if this is a camera problem or a software problem (the camera of both phones looks the same, and when taking still images, quality is the same)
Was wondering if anyone had any suggestion/solution to get higher quality videos.
Thanks!

The camera was upgraded between the 3650/3660 and 6600. I would think that this is the reason for quality difference.

Was this really upgraded? If you look at the camera itself, it says VGA 3.5MM 1:2.8 for both 6600 and 3650/3660. As such, doesn't that mean the camera is the same? Also if you take still pictures, the quality of the images are the same for both phones. It's only when you're taking videos that there is a significant quality degradation on the 3650/3660.
What do you think?

Just wondering. The diff between 3660 and 6600 - isn't that just picture size? I know they're both 640x480 VGA cameras.
Am still looking at video capture quality - 3660's is grainy, while 6600 is not. I'm thinking even if the size is smaller, how come the picture is grainier, even when transferred to a PC?
Thanks!

That information is the lense size and focal length. I thought it was one of the upgraded components... Praps i'm wrong.

Aaargh! I guess I have no choice but to live with bad resolution with the 3650. Someone also mentioned they had Hantro version 3.7. I actually have version 3.10. So I guess it didn't make any difference. If anyone has the Emuzed video recorder built into the 6600, that would be good....
