3650 died, Change Chip, ever heard?

Hi ppl, my 3650 died after 3 time i sent to Nokia Care to reinstall the OS, the last time i when , they said: Sorry, ur fone beyond repair.

I requested them (NCC) to change the main board, they advise me to buy a new one. :sad: ...it really suck. 1year ago= S$400, now=S$0 !!!

i sent my fone to a normal fone shop, they said they can change the chip for me. Few day later, my 3650 alive ALIVE :lol: again, Reborn... but S$160 charge.

Is that too exspensive?

Yes, it happened to my friend's 3650 also. Nokia service center refused to repair it, they say its "beyond repair". So my friend send it to a regular celphone shop and it was repaired at a cost of around US$140! I think its the strategy of Nokia service centers, they will refuse to repair so you will be forced to buy a new one! Wise marketing, isn't it? :D

You know N*kia Care Center is very dirty? I heard they might change the good hardware from your fone ( some ppl said ) who knows?

£50, not bad for a total repair, but you can get a 36 reconditioned by the factory for £110 now in the UK

and i do not tink nokia care ctr are dirty, maybe its just a new technician on the job, or ur phone is really screwed.

but then again, S$160 is quite a high price to pay for (imo). if i were u, i'd get a new 3650. and try fixing that phone at some other shops, could repair it cheaper.

My fone really spoilt that is the fact, i never blame them for that ! . I mean i "heard" from some shop that some NCC technician is not ANGEL, and did happened that they swap ur good hardware and get caught and been asked to leave.
