Hi,

I have a Nokia 6600 and a USB Data cable for the 6600. I want to put applications onto my phone and back up my numbers onto PC, i have a a CD that i got from eBay with apps, games etc. The problem is i can't get the PC to recognise the cable. It doesn't work in Nokia PC Suite (well i cant get it to work) and the Oxygen Software that i got with the CD doesn't support the 6600.

Also, the part of the cable that you connect your phone to is like a rectangle box, on one side you put the phones battery in and the other you put the phones sim card in, then you plug this into where the battery normally goes in the phone. When you turn the phone on it says 'Please insert Sim card' i have tried fiddling about with it but it continues to say 'Please insert Sim card' Maybe this has something to do with my problem?

I would appreciate it if someone could give me some help.

Thank you
gino

1. PC suite doesnt work with usb or any other cables at all.... IR or bluetooth only.
2. 6600 doesnt even support any data cables! just look at nokia.com

tell me more about this cable. where do you connect it? is it only connected to the battery and sim card? coz u cant fit any games or apps or anything on ur sim card and deff not on ur battery 0_o

if it doesnt go into the phone somewhere or at least connects to the mmc then it wont EVER work with anything else than sms messages and maybe contacts. you should have just bought bluetooth instead

Hi,

The battery goes into the box thing at the end of the cable and the sim card goes in the box on the other side, then you connect the box where the battery normally goes on the phone. Then when you power the phone up it says 'Insert Sim Card' when the Sim card is in the box where its meant to be, to connect the cable the phone. Here is a few photos of it..

Hmmm... should it allow you to flash the phone?
