I bought a 7610 yesterday. Previously had a 3650 and gald that 7610 is so much better. The best aspects are the actual size of the phone(compared to other nokia symbians), and i also like the addition of a pop port for connecting straight to pc via USB. The only thing i would really would like is radio. My question is: could it be possible to get radio on 7610. I was thinking along the lines of 7210 with its radio receiver connected through the pop port. Surely all 7610 needs is software to be developed enabling radio and the 7210 headset could be connected via the pop port. Is this even remotely possible?

Why not just buy that Nokia headset with a radio in it. I think all the controls and stuff are actually in the little box on the headset. Idk, maybe not, it might have to actually interface with the phone. Ask nokia, and if that wouldn't work you might be able to find something third party. There are loads of regular 3.5 mm CD and MP3 player headphones out there that have a tiny, built in radio on the wire (kind of looks like a wired CD player remote). One company even makes one for gameboys. But if you're asking if you could make software to use the 7610 as a radio itself, then no. The antennas (bluetooth, wifi, gsm) run on the wrong frequencies.
If all else fails, buy a tiny stand alone radio and duct tape it to your 7610. haha. (no, i'm not serious)

theres a pop port radio earpiece (meant for 6100 etc), wonder if it works on 7610.
and radio is hardware, not software.

If you have too much money, you can hear radio over GPRS!
Otherwise there is only the above mentioned possibility to buy a headset with integrated radio-receiver.

The "Nokia Boom Headset HDB-4" is an enhancement for the Nokia 6610 and 7250 (Series 40 phones). It is also listed as a compatible enhancement for the Nokia 7610. I bought a genuine HDB-4 off Ebay.com.au, and when it arrives at my door ... I'll test it. I'm pretty certain it will work on the 7610
Maybe the "FM Radio Headset HS-2R" will work on the 7610 too? I doubt it ... but it's worth a try. If only a seller has one listed on Ebay.com.au for me to purchase.
Oh, and btw. What's this: "Nokia Wireless Audio Adapter AD-5B"
Link: http://www.nokia.com.au/nokia/0,,37196,00.html
This lightweight and easy-to-use adapter snaps on to your compatible Nokia phone, enabling Bluetooth wireless audio connections with compatible headsets.
Sounds intriguing :D ~ bluetooth ...

By the way, anyone knows how to keep those words in the dictionary that we have entered manually? It seems like when we restart the phone, all the manually keyed words are gone!!! :-?
Thank you.
