hi, i was recently trying to mod my 3315 with red leds. I tried to bridge the resistor at the side of the board (i had read a tutorial that said to do that) and i clumsily unsoldered the 2 resistors that are right next to one another. I am wondering whether this will cause any issues? i have heard that it will cause them to be constantly on, or constantly off and that even with only 1 bridged resistor, the red leds will burn out? anyone else have an ideas about the subject? i have lost hte resistors now, but prehaps anyone knows the ohms that they were and i oculd buy replacements? thakns for your help guys!

hi,
check out the parts placement guide for nokia 3310/15 (service manual) and look for part list page.It will locate you to the corresponding value of the part/s you are looking for.

i dont recommend buying, perhaps looking for junk boards for replacement parts like resisitor, capacitors etc, will surely save you bucks...

1 of them is for the keypad lights... the other is for the screen lights... without anything in the spot where those resistors were the lights wont work but you could just use something (maybe just a dab of solder) instead of the resistors and have bright lights.

I was told that without the parts, the lights mite stay on or off or whatever. They also mite burn out?

does anyone have any idea if this suggests this is true or false? The information did come from a repair guy that kept offering to fix it for a fee, so i wasn't sure how credible the guy was.
