I guess there isn't but let me ask?
Is there any app can make the app that works in Symbian versions 7.0, 7.0s and 8.0 works in version 6.1
Like the blz there is an installer that makes the ngage files works in Symbians
And like in windows XP there is compatibility window in the properties of the exe files you can make the old programs works in compatibility of other versions of windows like win2000 win me and win 98….etc

I try the new Philips camcorder pro 1.02 on 6600 and let say it is fantastic, the zoom thing with unlimited time, wanna run this app on my 3650

I dunno dude :D Maybe there isnt :( I'ts because the library functions on 6.1 may differ from the one's in 7.0 and 8.0...

Some functions on versio 6.1 may be renamed or modified. some may also be erased and changed into a new one :)

Just like in windows. Some API calls in windows 95 does not exist in XP...

nope, impossible.

software and hardware differences. (more obvious between series 80 n series 60/70)

unless u port it to the platform u want.

This is what I'm trying to say, the app that I want is to make the functions in newer Symbian work in older ones( convert the functions), I think there is a compatibility between these versions, like in windows, you can run programs in windows XP with the compatibility of windows 95,
For example there are no I/O ports for communications ports in windows XP, that why you can't run the some software for DCT 3 in windows XP, but if you go to compatibility and choose to run this program in compatibility mode of windows 98/ME the program will works (not in full performance) but the program will work, and some games will work if you choose the mentioned method in windows XP
About the API calls in Windows 95, I assume that it will passed if you are working in compatibility mode of Windows 95
Anyway just wanna gave an idea, useful or not, it is just an idea

well, yes, i tink u can port the app u wan to another version of symbians, but u need a programmer and the source codes.
