I'm using a Nokia 3410 from UK with a vodafone line but when I put in any other line its saying "sim not valid". Is this a SP lock or what? and how do I fix this :-?

there is a free calc at the top right of each page of the forum

you may need 2 codes so look at the bit that mentions GID1 codes

yours is a dct3 phone

Thats the problem i've already tried the code generator but the phone won't allow me to enter the final "#" key of all the codes.

What is the error it gives you when you press last #?

Hi,

Sim not valid means something different as simcard not accepted.

Can someone with a locked phone check which one is the simlocked message respond?

I suggest otherwise Ur sim is blocked by Ur operator, or even broke.

Did you choose the right model? (DCT3)

You see that DCT3 codes have only 10 digits while DCT4 have 15 and if you type more than 10 digits nothing will happen ;)

cheers

I have the same opinion as Mestrini, you have probably used DCT4
you must use DCT3 and will be OK
