How to install softwares on MMC via PC? 6600

I have MMC card reader and nokia 6600 PC suite. But PC suite does not detect my card or USB port and shows it offline.

Please advice me how to install softwares on my MMC card, using my PC. I have downloaded a few softwares like smartmovie 2.12, ultramp3, etc.

I use winxp pro. Nokia PC suite installed. Epoc file manager installed.

if you got a card reader you dont need nokia pc suite etc. just make sure you got the card reader installed right, put the mmc card in and copy and paste the .sis file to the mmc

then on your 6600 (when the card is back in) just go to file explorer (or what ever its called) and browse to your mmc and select teh .sis file to install it

u cannot install stuff with mmc card readers. theres a way, but i forgot how. (need to place a file on system folder)

anyway, u need to install a file explorer 1st, like fexplorer, or seleq. u can install them using wap, or get a mate with symbian to send u the app.

but of cos, to install the file explorer (fexplorer) 1st is the most important.

u may be wondering how to access to the file after u transfer the app to ur mmc?

go to tools, file manager n press right on the joystick to access to ur mmc stuff.

and click on watever u wanna install on the phone.

Yup! you dont need pc suite :)

The main use of pc-suite is for backing-up data and synchronization...

You can install files without ever using PC-suite ;)

i have installed Ultra Mp3 player onto my 6600 without Nokia PC Suite but the problem is i dont know to get the music files onto the MP3 player, i have music on my PC but the files are too big. PLease can some one help??

if u send to phone, and it ends up in inbox, u can move inbox to mmc.

messages, options, settings, other, set mem in use to mmc.

or, use pc suite, file transfer option to anywhere on mmc, since ultramp3 will detect it. rem to switch off converters in control panal of pc suite so they wun be converted to wav.

ok... i think i know a solution...

you could paste the sis file in mmc\nokia then open it on the phone using the default file manager.

Dudes...far out....the answer to the persons question is easy.....

get a bluetooth adapter...PC Suite ONLY works with the bluetooth adapter...DOH

then all you have to do is install the bluetooth software that comes with it....pair the phone and the computer.....then install PC Suite....(and please install PC Suite AFTER the bluetooth software)

then after all that, all you have to do is double click the .sis file on your computer and the pc suite installer installs the software to your phone via bluetooth....

now the reason the other peeps here havent suggest it is probably cause they cant follow instructions properly and havent been able to use pc suite successfully...
