Is there is a way to view the content of the file Backup.arc, like in the images of the copying programs (Nero for example, you can make a image drive to view or edit copy and cut and delete the content of the image files (*.nrg in Nero))

I want to copy only the contacts of this file, I can back up the phone then restore the old Backup.arc and then copy the contact file, then restore the new Backup.arc and then restore the contacts that I have copied from the old Backup.arc

But I want to view the file Backup.arc, because it's faster

I tried to open this file with winrar with no success

I think they must be using a proprietary format.

BTW avoid restoring the old backup.arc after a format, because it will put you back a lot of useless files.

Instead, copy the file before formatting while making a backup. After formatting, make a new backup and copy the file back during the progress.

On my phone I've noticed that if I try to copy contacts.cdb anywhere except the root of the mmc it doesn't work.
