Nokia N-Gage or N-Gage QD

Hey All

I am really confused with this thing

I know that the difference is

N-Gage


Mp3 Player Stereo
Side Takin - is it really bad talking , i mean can we talk i normal , or if we talk like that is there any problem holding it, does it looks normal
USB Port
FM Radio

N-Gage QD

Hot Swap - Not exactly want
Short game key - Seems good
Pocketsized - Think so
Classic Talkin - Thats really normal but no mp3 player , no usb slot
brigt screen - users tell me is there a big difference in terms of screen of n-gage and n-gage qd

Tell me which handset to buy

bugget less than 240 USD or INR Rs. 10000 Indian Rupees

you can recommend other handset too but symbian is preferable

Buy the original N-Gage

N-Gage QD may have a brighter screen but the buttons are fucked to use when playing a game.

1 thing about ngage is the side talking, if u really wun mind talking on its side, then get it. theres the earpiece after all.

another thing to consider, is the size of the phone, qd is smaller.

qd is alot smaller looks better aswell in my opinion old one is way to big :lol: and like sum1 else said then theres the side talking thing :lol:

Yeah it's smaller, but the QD is far inferior compared to the original N-Gage.

I've got the origanal Ngage never used the radioand never used it with a working sim. Play mp3 through car stereo, all ngage games and the odd application. If the QD doesn't have usb make sure you've got a card reader espically if you haven't got a bigger card.

Things there in both the devices, things i needed in both the devices

Brighter screen - If u could tell me is theres really a difference on both the devices
Small or Big - I will prefer small , but if big also theres no problem
Hot Swap - Don't know whether its really needed, but i will tell u one thing that i am not going to buy more of mmc cards for playing games , i will use mmc cards for applications , symbian applications or watching movies and mp3s , i will play games but not buy a mmc for it.
Mp3 - yeah mp3 is needed but in ngage qd u can install software and mp3 can be played , howz the clearity, as clearity doesn't really matters, the only things which matters is , if i listen mp3 from ngage qd is the sound normal ,loud and clear, if its clear than tell , as the only things matters is mp3 should be there , if its clear than its good
USB - Tell me whether its really needed , as i have a mmc reader with me. wat is the use of USB port , file transfer which i can do it with mmc reader, but its a different thing as i have to remove the mmc to do it. If its really needed than tell me.
Free MMC Card - I think in ngage qd if its costly than the old one than they should have provided a free mmc too. but they haven't , please reconfirm whether nokia is officially providing a free mmc with qd or not.
Looks Wise - It should look good. N Gage Qd anyways looks good.But as a users, u all people tell me whether ngage is look wise looking worse or not worse but better.
Battery - I would like to have a good bettery life. I will be spending 3 to 6 hours a day not on playing games but downloading using applications and doing some r n d in the fone and watching movies.
FM Radio - not really needed, but its there than obviously it will be good.
Side Talkin or Classic Talkin - Classic talkin i prefer. But is side talking really a burden using that fone.
Camera - will in future i will be able to attach camera on that fone.

Recommend me a fone which you think will be better in terms of my usage
Or do you recommend me another symbian fone. Do you have any idea whether the price of both these handsets will fall or not

do you think nokia is going to introduce a new cheapest symbian fone. DO you think the price will fall of both the ngage

I suppose not for everbody, but for me it is, because I use the MP3 player everyday.

It's really too hard to get a proper answer, people's opinions will be biased, and it really depends on your personal likings, try out both of the two phones for a good comparison.

Yes you can but when transfering files larger than a couple of Mb most people aren't willing to use bluetooth as it's transfer speed is pitiful compared to an mmc reader/usb cable.

The N-gage QD with it's Hot Swap. Is the best pt. of it. No more of removing the back, & then the battery. When i would do it on a bus or train, ppl thought i was tearing apart my N-gage. :lol:

To play your phone through the car stereo, I just use one of those magic tapes with a headphone jack on the end. I don't get a bad sound out of it to be honest. Just bought a new car now though that has a CD player which is a lot easier.
