Smartmovie settings

Sorry to open up an old subject, but I'm at my wits end here.

I'm trying to convert an .avi using virtual dub, and for the life of me I can't get the audio right. I've tried EVERYTHING. Followed all the settings in previous posts, tried every possible permeatation to get it to work, and no matter what I try it always says "Error initializing audio stream compression: the requested conversion is not possible". I'm using Lame MP3, and it just won't work. Sucks because the movie part is smooth as can be, just the audio refuses to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

go to the "lonely cat" website and download the smartmovie converter :)

Or take it from irc.
Just remember to put a XviD codec in to Your fone.

And You mast have full version, or You wil have in some parts of the movie B&W picture with sign "DEMO" - but ist a good converter.
