XP Cable doesnt work

I have tryed unlock a 3310 with a stand cable and when I use it with b preaks unlocker it always says phone not connected any ideas?

The cable works fine on Windows ME.

its not a cable problem .... its software problem ... (coz of WinXp )
and plz before going to ask check previous threads .. ..
