Hi, My friend won a n-gage in a raffle (pretty sweet prize :p) and then bought a three phone, (Australia). He wanted the three phone with the camera to have his old sim card so he put the three sim in the n-gage and ever since, it won't turn on. It makes the lights come on and the blue nokia logo then all lights go off and the logo pops up a couple of more times. Please help, i could get to keep this if i fix it.

r u serious that a 3 sim crashed an ngage phone?

can you please confirm this with a private message as I am currently in a legal fight with Nokia over WSOD

if this is true it could add weight to a product recall

cheers ;)

Nah Dude, the chances of a 3 Sim crashing a phone are kinda slim. I mean 3 do have a different network type (WCDMA, as compared to GSM), but that shouldn't affect the startup of the phone! Have youy tried another SIM in it..? I.e. Telstra or something?

3's sims switch from 3G to 2G networks when they are in areas with no 3G coverage, and many 3 users just put their sim in a 2G phone because they get sick of carrying massive phones, so I think the sim is not the cause of the problem in this case
