no it wun work. if u try it, all ur ngage settings will come up on ur 7610, like menus, shortcut buttons, even oplogos and wallpapers. if 7610 has something diff, perhaps shortcut buttons or some settings, chances of it coming up with errors are very high.

Use Avec Backup. I've been transfering contacts between my 6600, 3650, ngage and 7650 with it for ages.

if your only concerned on your contacts you can copy it from your n-gage and transfer it to your 7610. Here's the steps:
1.0 Open up a file manager on your fone (efilemanager of Fexplorer).
2.0 Go to C:\Systems
3.0 Locate the folder named Data and rename it (anything would work, I renamed it to Datas)
4.0 Then open up this folder and locate the contacts.cdb file
5.0 Copy it to your mmc or pc for file transferring to your 7610 (send via bluetooth or usb cable)
6.0 Rename back the folder Data (its important to rename it with the big letter D)
7.0 Now transfer the contacts.cdb to your 7610 specifically on the same folder C:\Systems\Data (Note: rename first the folder Data before overwriting your contacts.cdb file then change it back again after pasting).
hope that helps!

oh..sowee man! i dont think you can extract the contents of the backup.arc,
i've tried to extract it using winzip and winrar but no success.
have u tried to use the backup.arc on your 7610? I think it could work and would do no harm, but there's always a risk however a hard format is readilly available if it f*cks up.
