Change The Version of Symbian OS

Hey is just got my selfan N-gage and was wondering whether anyone knows how to install the symbian OS of Nokia 6600 into N-gage.

Actually i'm looking forward to applying themes to my N-gage. The Phone's gr8 by all means but just does not support themes. :roll:

Alternatively does anyone know of any software by which i can install themes into my N-gage?? :-?

You can't install a different os onto you ngage and you can't use themes. Smartlauncher, trigenix and themerizer all give a themed apperance.

yeap, u cant install another phone's os, too much differences in hardware.

about themes, u can try stuff like smart launcher, or change the icons of files. read ard the threads in apps sections.

Thanks. the Themiser or whatever it is called is still not available. so i guess i'll have to wait for it. in the meanwhile does anyone have a screen shot of the beta version of themiser in action?? :???:

Also plesse guide me to some apps for my N-gage. i'm just a newbie and find navigating the forums a little confusing :confused:

well, click on the pull out bar below and choose symbian apps.

read up some posts there. takes a while, u will get used to it soon.

Thanks again guys. I downloaded the smart icon app and Agile messenger. Actually found only a few usefull apps for N-gage. I viewed many forums that listed some must have apps for symbian phones but none of them had nay links to where i can donload them

So can anyone of you send in a complete list of apps with the links to download them also.

One more thing. I had some problem with my OS after installing a game, so i reinstalled symbian after taking backup on PC-suite. But i only want to restore my mesages and contacts. can you tell me, in which folder are my SMS stored???
