N-gage games to 6600

I imagine the first few posts are going to be oh this has been discussed on countless threads already, and then we are going to get crazed n-gagers moaning about I shouldn't be playing them on my 6600. This hasn't been discussed yet, all I see is posts about n-gagers flaming 6600er's so please don't post here, its been discussed. I'm not interested in your pointless anti 6600 posts, i played n-gage 2 weeks before it was out in the shops anywhere in the world so I had time to decide it wasn't the phone for me.

To all you n-gage fan boys looking for trouble, the gizmondo is gonna kill ur asses since it has a 400mhz cpu.

also I might have an n-gage coming to me in the next few days so you can't whine at me either.

The n-gage is useless as a phone period.
The 6600 is almost useless for n-gage games.


Anyway, it seems that colour fixing has been discussed something about trying to change the colour settings from 4k to 65k and then magically it will fix the colour problem, is it just me but doesn't the qd run on 65k colours?
so I don't see how that would work, unless there is infact some kind of detection system that says if qd sort colours out.

However the old games don't have this problem so that can't be it, all the new games have this problem and it's probably a protection to stop it working on 6600.


also about sound crahsing. i expect this to be because the 6600 doesn't actually have a proper speaker, it uses the loud speaker, and I imagine that sound is streamed to it, this would explain why the sx1 can play em fine too since it has a proper stereo speaker

QD has 4K, and switching to less colors isn't an option simply cos the phone lacks a 3D card.

SplinterCell had it and sonic's menu was funky. And if they really would want to prevent 6600 playing n-gage game they made it n-gage games only play on certain IMEI codes.

its a s60 just like 6600 and a couple others... so the 6600 has a newer symbian version? you can put themes? does that make it better as a phone?

n-gage is useless for calling 6600 is useless for gaming.

Both are great phones in it's own way, though 6600 cost more it would be hard to choose between the two of em

if its because of the sidetalking, as an n-gage owner, you should know how quick you adapt... i wouldn't have bought an n-gage just for gaming, id have gotten a gba instead :)

I totally agreed with you! They had the same OS and I don't think they are that much different. Not counting the fact that I actually use N-gage for calling as a PHONE :grin:

I own both too but the choice is easy, 6600 everytime. The ngage is great for games but the sidetalkin, no ir, no camera the size of it and the fact that you need two hands to do almost anything on it makes it useless as a proper phone.
