i had been waiting for the 7610 for a very long time. but i should say the first time i saw the phone on nokia.com, i hated the phone for some unknown reason. i was like anti-7610, but as time passed by i fell in love with phone. believe me, the 7610 is worth the wait.

when i got my 7610 i felt like i was on top of the world. i got the black and brown 7610 and it is quite good looking. i put in the sim card and there was the beautiful view of the 7610

1. the 7610 feels quite solid. the keypad does not shake as in the 6230 and there are no gaps between the keys

2. the keypad is a bit hard and sometimes you may have a problem pressing the left directional button as you may instead press the ok button as they are quite close. otherwise no keypad problem

3. the system is faster than my 6600. adding, deleting files does not take long.

4. the camera is just too good. high quality pics take a little time to save (by little time i mean some 1 sec extra) . but after clicking if you move the camera, the pics dont move. the quality of the pics is just awesome. even when you zoom the pics, the pics are not pixelated.

5. the video camera captures videos at a viewable quality. the videos are not bad as in 6600 and 3660

6. when i transferred some pics from my 6230 and 6600 to my 7610, the pics looked much much better on the screen.

7. the camera also works well in dim light

8. the mp3 player is of course mono. but when mp3s are played through the loudspeaker of the phone, they are quite loud and can be easily heard

9. one more point i would like to add which i didnt write in my review for other forums is about the power on/off key. the key is extremely difficult to press as you have to press it fully inside. people who have delicate fingers will find it diffiacult to use this key.

CONCLUSION :

PROS :
1.great camera
2.good video recording
3.great screen
4.fast OS system

CONS :
1.rs-mmc cards (as they are not yet available in the market)
2.mono mp3 player

OVERALL I WOULD GIVE THIS PHONE 4 OUT OF 5

RS MMC's are VERY availiable. www.flashmemorystore.com has 512MB ones for 110 dollars american. Mmmmmm... Anyway my question was whether the mp3 player is good quality tho. I mean is it almost on par with a store bought MP3 player or just a notch above the 3650?
