Check out Neonode! It isn't a symbian phone but it is a smartphone. It's finally out now after more than 2 years wait.

Firstly I'll like to ask is that can you really get a new PPC with phone functions for just $250? I got mine without any phone function for almost US$450!!!

I dare say that getting a PPC is very tempting at first... the huge touchscreen... the wonderful multimedia... etc etc. I got mine just for a companion on the move without having to drag along a laptop with me. It fits the purpose though but not totally... it does have its limitations... alot... especially how much it drains your battery.

N-Gage on the other hand (not the QD that is), might be a better choice since I noticed that you just need a gadget for leisure purposes. Anyway, you can still get Quickwords if you need a Word subtitute in your phone... not to mention that the Word that Microsoft offer in PPC is full of *nonsense* by the way you will find a little hard to 'type'. This might be the most practical choice if you can withstand its weaknesses.

And if you still want a handheld... I think you might want to consider getting Palm with OS 5... much more applications than you can ever think of especially games... Get a Palm Tungsten T3 (the most wonderful handheld that I ever had... abit biased eh?) and a small phone that have both IR and Bluetooth and you are done. I caution you on the battery life too.

And never ever get a smartphone... my dad using one. Small but a real battery drainer and not much applications at all... don't talk about games!

This reply of mine might be useful for you... I simply type it since I'm bored on a hot Saturday night

Sorry in advance to anyone who thinks this reply doesn't seem to fit the purpose.

P.S. And why I emphasize on the battery life so much? You'll understand while you are having fun playing games and a 'low battery' message is to appear on your screen.

Actually, N-gage is a smartphone.

I guess he meant a windows smartphone... But ontopic, figure out what you want from the device. I learned that a pda makes you want to have a notebook within a year...

I meant POCKET PC & NOT windows smartphone (I want a GBA emulator, Palm OS emulator, good sound quality, good video playback.....)

Well you did ask for opinions... I gave you with some extras and as a follow up to Sony_Ericsson's post on a Window Smartphone...

Btw, you really want much more than what you can bargain for.
