View Full Version : Bluetooth range Problem

Lately I've noticed that my bluetooth can no longer access the PC from the ranges that it used to. Before I could walk to my living room, bathroom and almost the kitchen, now I have a hard time getting it to run within two feet of the computer.
What could be happening between my 3650 and the bluetooth dongle? Also for a while now it's been giving me an error even though it DOES connect. (within windows I mean. I have reinstalled windows since (not because of this) and it still is giving me the same.) Could it be the phone itself? I know it needs a full reset. I've ran it for almost two years now installing and uninstalling every app out there.

i've got exactly the same problem... Maybe the BT chip wears down after a while, due to dust, shock & moisture

My bluetooth only seems to have a radius of around 3 metres, rather than the 10 metres that Nokia claim it has...

maybe a firmware flash might help? They always seem to mention "improved bluetooth blah blah blah" when they release a new firmware.

I'm still running 2.5
What would I gain if I update to the newest one? Hopefully some stability. This phones goes through stages. Rock stable, to reset whenever it feels like it.
